Description
The sence of the portal for leasing containers is to give the
customer the most possible transperancy of information about the current
available containers and about their return point. The quester
should be able to see immediately whether he can take a container for instance in Hamburg
and where he can return it in Hamburg, Bremen or Antwerpen.
To provide the customer with these information the offerer of the container has
to assign to all available containers the possible return point.
The assignment is very problematical and labor-intensive the more containers has
to be edited.
With the introduction of groupings of return points this
problem is simplified in the system. This is as much as to say that the
containers are not assigned to their return points, but only to the groupings of
return points. One grouping can contain more than one return point.
The most imoportent task for the offerer of the containers is making up the
grouping (Systematization) of return points. The sytem leaves the
systematization and the naming of the groups to the offerer. Even the number of
the groups and return points is not limited.
An example:
The offerer "XYZ" maintains the following depots: Hamburg, Bremen, Duisburg, Antwerpen,
Moscow, Barcelona. His supply of containers contains standard boxes, divided on
different depots. The standard boxes can be handed over in all of his depots.
Besides that he is in possession of reefcontainers . These reefcontainers can
be handed over in Moscow and Antwerpen.
Proposal for a grouping:
The offerer defines two groups: "Standard" and "Reefer" (Names
of the groups can be freely selected).
The "Standard" group will be assigned to all his depots. The "Reefer"
group has only Moscow and Antwerpen. Now the containers must be assigned to
their appropriate group( or groups).
The containers, which has been entered into the system are avilable for the
customer immediately. According to this the customer can use the search
function with its selection of positions, required return points, length
of the container and the type to find and to rent containers directly. In the
portal the rented containers are still available and can be reserved from
the return point, even if they are in the term of a lease. This direct access
method should help to minimize the container's storage time and optimise the
utilization.
In case of a container-rent or reservation our message system will inform you
automatically per Email. Besides the conatinernumber you will also receive the
customers contactdates.
