Description
The sence of the portal for leasing containers is to give the
customer the most possible transperancy of information about the current
available containers and about their return point. The quester
should be able to see immediately whether he can take a container for instance in Hamburg
and where he can return it in Hamburg, Bremen or Antwerpen.
For a successful search you need the knowledge of the point of departure, the
return point, the container- length and the container-type. The point of
departure can be a container-depot or a railway-terminal. Best you select the
container-depot respectively railway-terminal, which are close to the
loading/storage. The return points are defined by the container- renter, they
can also be defined as container-depots or railway terminals. If you need the
conatiner for storage then the return point is often also the point of departure
of the container. The utmost advantage arises, if you use the container for
transportation and if you find a container, which you can return to the
destination of the transport. As a result the costs for the empty return will be
avoided completely.
The rent contract will be concluded between the renter and the hirer; the portal
has only the information, which it offers to both parties.

Search rent-containers
The
search-form for rent-containers allows you to find rent-containers in an easier
and faster way. There are four search-fields available:
In the selection field "Point of departure" please choose the place,
where you want your containers to take over; in the selection field
"Returning point" choose your demanded returning place; in the
selection field "Length" please choose your desired length of the
container; afterwards choose your desired container-type in the selection field
"Type". The portal distinguishes between the container- depots and
railway-terminals at the point of departure and the returning point. Whereas
the railway-terminals are displayed with capital letters and the container
depots in lower – case letters. If you click the “Search” button, it begins to
search for your searching criterions.
The appeared containers will be listed in the middle of the form in your
window. If no containers were found under your criterions, please retry the
search with other search keys.
The listed containers will be sorted numerically. The containers will be sorted
in an ascending order according to the supplier and the rent. Besides the
container number you will see the rental price per day, the handling costs, the
minimum rent , the deposit, the currency, the availability data, the container’s
status and the supplier’s identification. The status "free" means
that the container is available instantly. The status "rent" signifies
that the container is temporarily rented and will be "free" after its
returning. However, you have still the possibility to rent this special
container! Our system will intend an automatic reservation for you. The rental
price is calculated with the following formula: Rental/Day x Term of rent +
handling costs. Is your rental price lower than the costs for the minimum rent
you have to calculate with the costs for the minimum rent.
If you decide to rent one or several containers, you are able to rent or
reserve them online. Please choose the desired positions with the help of the
selection fields "from Pos", "to Pos" and the expected
returning date and click the button "Continue". The selected
positions will be listed once more to your affirmation. Now you can reconsider
your decision or begin with a new search. If you definitely made your decision,
please click the button "rent".
The system verifies the availability of your desired containers and will show
you the result of your enquiry. For your further handling please use the
functions "edit rented containers" respectively "edit reserved
containers".

Edit rented containers
Your rented containers are visible in this form and can be edited. The window
in the middle of the screen shows you all rented containers. The positions of
the containers are numbered individually. With the aid of the position-number
you can define a range for the functions "Return" and "Cancel", where you
can use the selection fields "from Pos" and "to Pos". The functions "Contact"
and "Details" refer only to the marked position.
Description of the functions:
Cancel
The positions, which are defined in the selection fields "from Pos" and "to
Pos", will be cancelled. That means, that for some reasons the hire contract
with the customer could not be concluded.
Return
The containers, which are defined in the selection fields "from Pos" and "to
Pos", will be delivered at the returning point, where they are available for rent immediately.
This function should be fulfilled by the tenant of the containers. We recommend
to use this function only in exceptional cases.
Contact
The customer data of the marked position will be listed.
Details
The complete container data of the marked position will also be listed.

Edit reserved container
Your reserved container will be shown in this form and can be edited. The
window in the middle of the screen shows you all rented containers. The
positions of the containers are numbered individually. With the aid of the
position-number you can define a range for the functions "Return" and "Cancel",
where you can use the selection fields "from Pos" and "to Pos". The
functions "Contact" and "Details" refer only to the marked position.
